Certified Translation
How much does certified translation cost in the UK?
Certified translations are £39.99 per page, within 24 hours for 1-3 pages. Sworn translations, where an authority asks for one, are £99.99 per page. Every translation is priced per page of your document and you see the price before you pay.
How fast can I get a certified translation?
Within 24 hours for 1-3 pages, 36 hours for 4-6 pages and 48 hours for 7-10 pages. Prioritise for £59.99 per page and it is within 12 hours. A sworn translation adds 24 hours.
What do UK authorities ask for?
UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) asks for a certified translation meeting Para 39B. Each of our translations includes a signed statement of accuracy with the translator's name, contact details and the date.
What documents can you translate?
We translate birth certificates, marriage certificates, diplomas, degrees, passports, driving licenses, police certificates, medical records, court judgments, contracts, powers of attorney, bank statements, and all personal or legal documents.
Do I need certified or notarized translation for UKVI?
For UKVI applications (citizenship, visa, residency), you typically need certified translation. Notarization is not usually required. If an authority asks for a sworn translation, choose Sworn.
Can you translate documents not in English?
Yes. We translate 200+ languages including Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and more. All translations are into English (or from English into the target language).
How do I send my documents for translation?
Email clear photos or scans to contact@tatkowski.co.uk or send via WhatsApp to 07752 154028. We'll review and provide a quote. Once approved, we begin translation.
What is the difference between certified and sworn translation?
In the UK, 'certified translation' is the standard. The translator certifies accuracy and signs. 'Sworn translation' is a specific legal designation used in some EU countries, and the UK keeps no state register of sworn translators. UKVI asks for a certified translation; other authorities may ask for more. If an authority asks you for a sworn translation, choose Sworn: the translator's declaration of accuracy is sworn before a solicitor or Commissioner for Oaths, at £99.99 per page, delivered 24 hours later than certified.
